Symptoms:

Often asymptomatic in infants but may be detected through routine screening in premature infants.
Severe cases may lead to vision problems as the child grows.

Treatment:

Screening: Regular eye exams for premature infants.
Laser Treatment: Laser photocoagulation to prevent the progression of abnormal blood vessels.
Cryotherapy: In some cases, cryotherapy may be used to treat the abnormal vessels.
